Board By Laws-Amended November 11th, 2024
Le Monde International School is governed by a Board of Directors that operates in accordance with adopted Board Policies and Board Bylaws. Together, these documents provide the framework for ethical governance, legal compliance, and effective oversight of the school’s mission and operations.
Board Bylaws define the structure, authority, and responsibilities of the Board of Directors. They outline how the Board is organized, how members are selected and serve, how meetings are conducted, and how decisions are made in alignment with Oklahoma law and the school’s charter.
Board Policies guide the Board’s governance role and establish expectations for oversight, accountability, and decision‑making. Board policies clarify the distinction between governance and day‑to‑day administration, ensuring the Board focuses on strategic direction, fiscal responsibility, and mission alignment while delegating operational leadership to school administration.
Board Policies and Board Bylaws are reviewed regularly and updated as needed to reflect legal requirements, best practices in charter school governance, and the evolving needs of the school.
